New Years Resolution - A Slimmer You

Have you made any new years resolutions? One of the most popular new years resolutions is to lose weight. If this is one of your resolutions this year, let me give you a bit of advice from a guy who has lost 42 lbs. last year and is still working on losing 20 more this year. My advice to you is "know what is your key"! What I mean by this is, know what reason(s) you have for losing the fat. Most people don't stay committed to their weight loss becasue they don't know their key. Your key is the thing that makes you, even forces you to stay committed to your diet. My key was when my doctor told me that I was almost a type 2 diabetic, high blood pressure, with off the scale cholesterol and trigylcerides. In order to live longer I would have to lose weight or go on medications for the rest of my life. That medical report from my doctor was my "key". My mantra became "lose it or die"! Take some time to find your "key", if you find the right key you'll be able to stick with your chosen weight loss program. Lets face it we all have times when we go off the wagon, but if you have the right key you'll pick yourself up dust yourself off and continue. Remember success is built on failure. Don't be discouraged when you fall...you are only human...just don't give up on your weight loss goals and a healthier you! Colds and Flu

Well Christmas and New Years has come come gone.  Im sure during this holiday season we all have filled up with lots of food that we might not have eaten otherwise. Besides stretching our waistlines a bit, some of the types of food and excess of food could have weakened our immune system. After the winter holiday festivities many people seem to come down with a cold or flu, weakened immune systems allow this to happen.
Next year plan ahead and be careful not to compromise your immune system. It is important to keep up with foods rich in the antioxidant rich vitamins such a C & E. Using lots of Garlic helps as well.  To make sure you're getting enough of these you might consider using supplements.  If you feel like you're coming down with a cold try using some Organic Oil of Oregano which has natural anti-viral properties.
The foods we may over indulge in can help weaken our immune system, chocolates, sugar filled pastries and lots of dairy are often the culprits. If you keep an eye on not over indulging in these, and get plenty of exercise, plus take the recommended supplements you could face the New Year cold and flu free.

Happy New Year!
